A stylish black and white crime drama inspired by the films of Jim Jarmusch and Shunya Tsukamoto, MONDO BOBO was based on the case of Vinko Pintaric, a serial killer who escaped from prison and evaded the grasp of police for several years. In Rusinovic's hands, the story becomes a parable of a maladjusted young man who flees to escape a group of blackmailers and extortionists.

Ciclon is a coverage of hurricane Flora's sweeping the Cuban provinces of Camaguey and Oriente in October 1963: the damage, the evacuation of the villages, and the aid to victims. Shots of the rampaging hurricane Flora, which struck the Oriente and Camaguey districts, were the first filmmaking experience of Santiago Alvarez. It was the first time in the history of Cuban cinematography any film received seven international prizes. The unjustly forgotten work stands at the beginning of a period of original approaches to film editing. The individual sequences are much more explosive than they are illustrative. We witness the onset of the natural disaster and we watch it unfold. The creators also used archival footage. The camera movement was supposed to bring the viewer in the middle of the action and thus create a perfect creator-viewer symbiosis.

这五部16豪米实验纪录片选自一套最近在西班牙出版的DVDBOX，收集了1960-1975年间的二十余部黑白或彩色纪录短片，拍摄这些影片的人有职业导演、电影学院的学生以及非专业人士，他们用镜头记录了独裁统治下的西班牙尤其是巴塞罗那所在的加泰罗尼亚地区人们生活的真实景象，由于弗朗哥对外宣称的民主和自由谎言与对内采取的铁腕高压政策，这些影片在当年一直存在于地下无法公开，时至今日，经过多方收集和查找，终于使它们又重新浮上水面，向人们展示出一个处在强权压迫下最真实的加泰罗尼亚。
The importance "marginal" cinema takes on in portraying the city was ratified by the orderly and well funded television series Cronica d'una mirada, broadcast by Canal 33, in which I was able to recognise BTV's documentary yearning for "the other account" of a time and a place. The series travelled the "grey periods" in Catalonia (the sixties and seventies) in non-professional film formats, or at any rate formats not intended for commercial use. Inevitably, almost all the footage centred on Barcelona, with images and accounts that have now become outstanding documents, like Un Viernes Santo (Tharrats, 1960), El alegre Paralelo (Ripoll-Freixes, 1963) or Carles Barba's acid chronicles in Aspectes i personatges de Barcelona (1964).

这部极其罕见的实验电影出自被誉为“新拉丁美洲电影运动之父”的阿根廷著名导演Fernando Birri之手，当年他因为政治原因而被迫流亡海外，在意大利花了近10年时间制作了这部影片，尽管此片的影像风格非常前卫，将阿根廷的民间神话和政治现实与前卫的实验电影手法结合为一体，与他其他任何一部作品都完全不同，在当时几乎没人敢接受，而且连原始胶片都被差点销毁了，到如今很少有人知道这片的存在，但还是能很明显地看出它深受了60-70年代欧美先锋实验和地下电影流派如Stan Brakahage，Jack Smith，Zanzibar film group等人甚至是日本先锋电影的影响，而且我觉得一个导演能有勇气突破传统拍出一部风格迥异的前卫之作，即使不叫好也不叫座也值得称赞，何况这片其实拍得还好，至少在它诞生后的30年里我还不曾看到过一部有着同样风格的阿根廷电影。
Birri devoted his energies to opposing social class inequalities in Argentina, yet with the Frondizi government ousted by the military, Birri was forced to leave the country in late 1963. While in political exile he traveled throughout Latin America teaching young filmmakers his craft, eventually returning to Rome due to lack of resources. He spent ten years making the little-seen experimental art film, Org. When it was finally finished in 1978 it so outraged its producer that he ordered it destroyed (though reportedly a print still exists).
